The dangers of plastic

Our planet has been in a rather dangerous environmentally situation since the past couple of years. As you can see, our ecosystem is endangered by our obsessive use of plastic and non-biodegradable products. In 2016, 320 million tons of plastic has been recorded and these numbers are set to double by 2034. The scariest fact in all of this is approximately 8 million pieces of plastic find their way into our oceans everyday. All of these emissions lead to catastrophic consequences for the wild life living in these waters and also pollute the waters that we could use for other purposes than a dumpster. Most of these plastics aren’t biodegradable making them terribly complicated to degrade into the environment. Also, they surely aren’t edible for wild life making fishes and sea turtles choke upon coming across a plastic bag or plastic residue. If every company would use Ingeo plant based plastic, not only would it degrade within months instead of years, but it wouldn’t harm the wildlife.
